Field Guides and Foraging Books Recommendations
I like to highlight books that I have found helpful and resourceful. To me a well rounded resource can cover a lot by demonstrating through well taken photographs with informative captions, seasonal gathering notes, preparations and practical ways to enjoy the gifts of edible plants, which make practical sense for modern lifestyles.
The publishing date on the Edible Wild Plants Field Guide is during the 70"s well this book is still relevant now.
It is on of the first books I recommend. By Thomas S. Elias and Peter A. Dykeman. They feature a map of North America, Nutritional benefits, recipes, look alike, and clear identification, with a section of toxic plants. They put a lot of through into this guide.
